Saints End Falcons Unbeaten Run

That should teach the Atlanta Falcons to talk about going 16-0.

That should do it, yes, the run to unbeaten crashed and burned Sunday with Drew Brees leading the resurgent New Orleans Saints to a 31-27 shootout win over the Dirty Birds.

Brees threw for 298 yards and three touchdowns and his favorite target was his big tight end, the nimble Jimmy Graham, who hauled in seven for 146 yards and he caught two of those Brees TD passes.

What made the difference for New Orleans was its ground game. Mark Ingram and Chris Ivory combined for 139 rushing yards, Ivory had 72, Ingram 67.

The Saints are now 4-5 and looking so much better than the team that started the season 0-3.

The Falcons? They’re still in command of the NFC South at 8-1 but looking a lot more human.
