Quincy Black’s Status Is Serious, In Doubt

“Quincy, overall, he’s gonna be okay. It’s a serious injury, he has some complications with his left arm. Obviously it’s not good.”

That was the word Monday from Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano after linebacker Quincy Black’s initial tests following the injury he sustained Sunday against the Chargers.

“His spine is fine,” Schiano went on. “It’s nerves and things. I know he needs further tests so I don’t want to try to go into it beyond that.”

Schiano visited Black Sunday in the hospital, the strong side linebacker was released later that evening. “He knows there’s something. It’s not a little thing. I think it’s more of a bigger thing,” Schiano added.

It’s unknown if Black will be able to return any time soon. Schiano definitely ruled Black out for Sunday in Carolina.

Eric Wright will be on the injury list this week. He’s tweaked his ongoing problems and he’s a day-to-day proposition. He missed most of the game Sunday.
