Buccaneers Task Is Tougher If Roy Miller Can’t Go Against Chiefs

Right now, it’s wait and see with defensive tackle Roy Miller.

Miller fell victim this week to one of those weird things that can throw your back out of wack and right now Miller’s back is out of wack to the point where he’s uncertain for Sunday’s game with the Chiefs.

“Out? I don’t think so,” said coach Greg Schiano about the possibility that Miller could miss the game. “He’s markedly better. Hopefully that will increase and he will be able to play. Right now, you can’t be sure of that,” Schiano warned.

“One of those things,” he continued at his Friday press conference. “He (Miller) picked up a basket of laundry or something like that.”

Miller is a player the defensive line cannot afford to lose. They’re already thin with the loss of Adrian Clayborn and it is Miller’s play that has led to Gerald McCoy’s outstanding performance through four games.

Miller missed practice on Thursday and Friday.

He will be a game-time decision.
