Buccaneers Face Chiefs, KC Fans Fly ‘Bench Cassel’ Banner
For the Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans who do not appreciate Josh Freeman, they may want to see what’s going on in Kansas City.
The Bucs come off their bye week to play the Chiefs next Sunday. The Chiefs lost 9-6 Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens in a baseball-like scoring contest.
Above Arrowhead Stadium, some fans hired a small airplane to tow a banner in the skies above the field that read: “We Deserve Better! Fire Pioli — Bench Cassel.”

Scott Pioli, the KC General Manager, has drawn the ire of the fans after the teams unimpressive 1-4 start. On Sunday, starting quarterback Matt Cassel went 9-for-15 for a scant 92 yards before he was knocked out of the game midway through the fourth quarter. He left the field with what the team described as a “head injury” which is NFL code for “possible concussion.”
Backup Brady Quinn is now the most popular man in town, he went 3-for-3 for 32 yards and had the potential game-winning touchdown pass to Dwayne Bowe nullified by a penalty.
Who will play quarterback for the Chiefs next Sunday in Tampa?
If the Chiefs’ fans had their way, it would be Brady Quinn.
