Greg Schiano The Day After: ‘No Remorse Or Regret’

Greg Schiano was the talk of the National Football League on Monday and he faced the music the day after his controversial defensive call that saw his defense go after the New York Giants when Eli Manning went into the “kneel-down” mode to run out the clock.

“To me, it’s a clean, hard, tough, finish-the-game play,” Schiano said at his Monday press conference at One Buc Place.

He caught flak from the New York media but was undeterred the day-after.

“I have no remorse or regret,” Schiano said. “We’re gonna move on. We have a football game that we should have won but didn’t.”

Schiano said he was most disappointed by his team’s inconsistency. “Some really good, some not so good,” he said. “There were some technical errors, some calls we’d like to have back. There’s enough to go around. At the end of the day, we didn’t get it done.”

Schiano’s attention will turn immediately to the Dallas Cowboys. “As soon as I’m done here and as soon as I’m done with the radio show,” he said, sounding eager to get back to the video room.

“We’re learning and I’m sure we’re gonna be better for it. I like teaching out of the win column but we’ll teach out of the loss column.”
