Buccaneers Surprise: Hayward Placed On PUP List

Training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers full squad doesn’t start until Friday and there’s already a surprise.

Linebacker Adam Hayward will be on the Physically Unable to Perform list according to beat writer Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

It wasn’t surprising to see Da’Quan Bowers and Amobi Okoye on the list. Bowers tore an Achilles tendon in offseason workouts and could miss the entire season while Okoye had athroscopic surgery on his knee in June.

Players cannot practice while they are on the PUP list. It is surprising to see Hayward, a key linebacker on the list. The team gave no indication during offseason workouts that Hayward had any physical problems.
